What has changed
An index is worth only as much as the ability to contradict it. This page records what has changed in the method, in the sources and in published statements — with dates and evidence.
Entries are never edited and never deleted. A correction is a new entry naming the old one. The database enforces that — it is not a statement of intent.
Method
The method is fixed before anything is calculated
The index follows a durability-weighted method with empirical Bayes shrinkage. It is fixed as version 1.0.0, together with the checksum of the reference implementation. Fixing it beforehand is the point: nobody can later ask whether the rules were invented to fit the result.

An error in the method's variance formula
While reviewing the reference implementation it emerged that the Poisson variance did not account for the weights. The consequence would have been confidence intervals that are too narrow - more certainty than the data supports. Corrected as version 1.1.0, which takes effect only after walk-forward validation on real data.

German charging point register added
116,443 charging sites with 209,136 charging points. 31.3 percent of the charging points carry an EVSE ID; without it a charging point cannot be linked to its operational messages. This source does not report operational status.

No operator is named without prior notice
A quality figure about a named company is a statement of fact. It belongs in a procedure with prior notice and a period for response - not on a page that updates hourly. Until that procedure exists, the public pages show aggregates only.

Austrian charging point register added - with operational status
15,155 charging sites with 40,340 charging points, every one of them carrying an EVSE ID. This source additionally reports the operational status per charging point; it has been recorded hourly since today. That begins the time series without which the index cannot calculate.

The home page said Germany when Austria was already included
While there was only one source, the home page read: “Every point on this map is a public charging site in Germany.” With the second source that sentence became false - the Austrian sites are on the same map. Likewise every site page stated that no status time series existed; for the Austrian sites it does exist, it is merely too short. Both statements now come from the data rather than from fixed text.
